Stuff the Bus Baton Rouge

Stuff the Bus Baton Rouge School Supply Drive – Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is joining forces with Walmart to “Stuff the Bus” for children in need. During this year’s Stuff the Bus Baton Rouge School Supply Drive event, shoppers visiting a Walmart on August 7-9 can purchase and drop off requested items at Salvation Army collection bins at the front of each store. The goal is to provide new school supplies to children in need of a fresh start to the school year.

The start of the school year can be a stressful time for families. For one in five children living in poverty, parents often have to choose between buying school supplies or putting food on the table. Now, there are even more unknowns as children return to learning in the midst of COVID-19. Whether they’re attending class online or in the classroom, school supplies remain critical to helping students feel prepared to succeed.

The Stuff the Bus Baton Rouge School Supply Drive is the perfect way for our community to come together to help support those that may be struggling to gather supplies for the upcoming school year.
