Families in Greater Baton Rouge – there’s a new way to do youth sports, and it’s officially here.
We’re excited to welcome i9 Sports of Greater Baton Rouge East, the first i9 Sports territory in the state of Louisiana, now launching in the City of St. George and expanding soon to surrounding communities.
i9 Sports is a national youth recreational sports league operating in 30+ states, known for putting kids first and making sports simpler, safer, and more fun for families.
What Makes i9 Sports Different?
i9 Sports was built around one big idea: kids should love playing sports.
Their programs focus on:
- Fun – creating a positive experience for every child, regardless of skill level or ability.
- Skill development – helping kids grow and gain confidence.
- Sportsmanship – teaching teamwork, respect, and character through play.
This isn’t about pressure or win-at-all-costs competition, it’s about helping kids become well-rounded people while enjoying team sports – as a mom, I value that!
Designed With Busy Families in Mind
Parents will love i9 Sports just as much as kids do.
- Practices happen right before games
- Everything takes place on Saturdays
- All sports run at the same location and time
That means:
- No multiple practice nights
- No running all over town
- No juggling different schedules for siblings
If you have more than one child playing different sports, it all happens in one place on the same day. Plus, families receive $10 off registration for multiple children.
Spring 2026 Sports Lineup
Spring 2026 will kick off at BREC’s Claycut Bayou Park with:
- T-Ball
- Flag Football
- Soccer
All programs will begin as co-ed leagues, with plans to expand into additional sports like basketball and volleyball in the summer and fall. As the league grows, girls-only leagues will be added in the future.
Coaches Are Supported
Unlike many leagues, i9 Sports provides training and practice plans for volunteer coaches. Every practice includes clear guidance on what to work on, making coaching turn-key and stress-free.
You don’t need prior coaching experience—just a willingness to show up and support kids.
Coach Promo – Limited Spots
To kick things off, i9 Sports is offering a special Coach Promo:
- The first 20 coaches who sign up and register a team. After registering for a team, one player will need to fully register for the team.
