The City of Walker is kicking off the holiday season in the most festive way , with the annual Walker Christmas Parade, followed by a family-favorite tradition: Christmas in the Park at Sidney Hutchinson Park! Walker Christmas Parade
Parade begins at 3:00 PM
The day begins with the beloved Walker Christmas Parade, rolling through town with bright floats, holiday music, dancing groups, and cheerful Christmas character appearances. Families line the streets each year to wave at the festive floats and catch a sprinkle of Christmas magic as the holiday spirit fills the air.
The parade is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Walker and promises to be full of hometown cheer, the perfect start to a full day of family fun.
Christmas in the Park
4:30 PM – 8:30 PM

After the parade, families can make their way to Sidney Hutchinson Park for one of the most charming holiday events in the area — Christmas in the Park! The park comes alive with sparkling lights, festive decorations, and holiday activities for all ages.
Here’s what families can look forward to:
Free Santa Pictures
Santa will be available for photos before and after the Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Optional family photos are also available for $5 to benefit the Friends Club & Challengers.
Crafts + Letters to Santa
Children can write their letters, create adorable holiday crafts, and drop off their wish lists for Santa.
☕ Free Hot Chocolate
Warm up with a delicious cup of hot cocoa while you stroll through the park and enjoy the holiday lights.
Christmas Tree Lighting – 6:00 PM
The highlight of the evening — the official lighting of the Christmas trees!
A perfect moment for photos, memories, and a little Christmas magic.
Movie in the Park – 6:20 PM
Bring cozy blankets and chairs and settle in for a holiday movie under the stars.
Concessions will be available all evening.
