JULY 3rd

Kenilworth Independence Day Parade
Friday, July 3rd, 2026 | 6:30 PM

The 54th Annual Independence Day Parade is scheduled to roll at 6:30 pm on Friday, July 3rd. This year’s parade theme is “Celebrating America’s 250th“. It lasts about an hour and rolls weather permitting. The route begins and ends at Kenilworth School on Boone Drive and runs about two miles through the Kenilworth neighborhood.

The 4th of July Spectacular is back! The Manship Family and WBRZ provide the fireworks to celebrate America’s Independence. It is a great celebration and tradition for all.  Stay tuned for more details regarding music and other festivities.

America 250 on the River, a free, family-friendly bash at Repentance Park from 2-9pm, and the lineup is stacked.

Secretary of State Nancy Landry invites you to come on down to Louisiana’s Old State Capitol this July 4th!
Commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with games, karaoke, crafts, and more. Festivities will take place all day with come-and-go, free admission from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Plus, seize the opportunity to view the original Louisiana Purchase document signed by Napoleon Bonaparte. The document is on loan from the National Archives and Records Administration, Washington, D.C. It will return to its home on July 11, 2026.

The festivities begin at 6pm music by the Marine Forces Reserve Band, followed by the national anthem sung by Robin Barnes at 7:30pm and continues with more patriotic programming. Covington’s 4th of July Celebration

Historic downtown Covington brims with patriotic spirit during its annual festivities. Sparks in the Park features a DJ, live music, food trucks, face painting, and kids’ activities. Brave competitors can join the classic hot dog eating contest, while others relax under the sprawling oaks. As twilight approaches, the park transforms into a stunning setting for a dazzling fireworks finale, reflected beautifully in the Bogue Falaya River.
