Created to spark children’s joy, imagination, and love of music, Books & Music offers hour-long programs where children sing, dance, play an instrument, experience a library book, and meet a professional musician.   • Details: On September 7th, the Old Governor’s Mansion will be hosting a spectacular afternoon of entertainment and education, as we “Fall Into History” for Free First Sunday. Food trucks and refreshment stands will be stationed in front of the property, local musicians will perform in the Rose Garden behind the building, and vendors from around Baton Rouge will set up throughout the Mansion and show off some of their finest offerings. Admission is free, and guides will be ready to offer historical tours for all ages, so be sure to mark your calendars for what is certain to be a fantastic start to the autumn season.
