1. Howl-O-Ween at BREC’s Forest Community Park

2. Movie on the Plaza: Casper at Main Library at Goodwood

Boo! Join us for a ghostly good time at Movies on the Plaza as we celebrate the spooky season with a family-friendly film featuring everyone’s favorite friendly ghost, Casper. 3. Haunted Hikes at BREC’s Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center

Get ready for a frightfully fun time at BREC’s Haunted Hikes! This not-so-scary event is perfect for the whole family, featuring a self-guided hike, arts and crafts, live animal encounters, and more. Dress up and enjoy a Spooktacular evening at the swamp! - Tickets: $6 for adults, $8 for children ages 3+ (Discount for pass holders)
4. Boucherie and Balloon Festival

The Boucherie and Balloon Festival returns this weekend with a range of festivities that the entire family will enjoy! From hot air balloons to jambalaya and cracklin’ cookoffs, live music, and plenty of shopping, this festival has something for everyone. Don’t miss out on the fun.
5. Boo at the Zoo!

Get ready for Fa-BOO-lous fun at Boo at the Zoo, kicking off THIS WEEKEND! Enjoy a family-friendly Halloween adventure with princesses, animal enrichments, and mini pumpkin picking. 6. Candy Cane Lane by the Junior League of Baton Rouge

Candy Cane Lane is the perfect children’s indoor winter play experience! Celebrate the excitement of a Winter Wonderland with food, crafts (including those by Baton Rouge Family Fun), games, holiday photos, and more. 7. Fall Festival at Blackwater United Methodist Church

Come out and enjoy Fall, Faith, and Fellowship at this year’s Fall Festival! Stroll through the pumpkin patch, explore the new sunflower patch, and enjoy vendor booths, inflatables, games, live music, and the Noah’s Ark Live Mobile Petting Zoo. Don’t miss out on delicious pastalaya plates, fair/festival food, and a quilt auction by the Common Threads Sewing Team. 8. Baton Rouge Corn Maze

9. Ghostie Fest at BREC Art
- Date: Saturday, October 19th
- Time: 10 AM – 1 PM
- Location: BREC Art, 1515 Dalrymple Dr
A spooky ceramics event where you can create your very own ceramic ghost! All ages are welcome, and there’s a ton of fun activities for the kids.
10. West Baton Rouge Museum and Library Halloween Event
- Date: Friday, October 18th
- Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: West Baton Rouge Museum
The West Baton Rouge Museum and Library invite the whole family for an evening of Halloween fun with tricks, treats, vintage games, crafts, and more. Enjoy food from the Bean Dip Factory, and don’t forget your costume and treat bag! The entertainment for the evening will feature professional storyteller Oneal Isaac with performances at 6:45 PM and 7:15 PM.
