Weekend Planner

LASM’s new fulldome show features innovative leaps in CGI and revolutions in tyrannosaur paleontology, offering a glimpse into the life of the tyrant lizard king—the T.REX!
The film is showing at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM and is for all ages. The premier of the show is during regular planetarium hours and admission to the show is included in General Admission tickets to the museum.
Boogie and read with us for a dino-themed Read & Create at 11:15 am on the day of the new T.REX show premiere!
During Read & Create, we will read “Dinosaur Boogie” by Dr. Jean and then make a dinosaur-themed craft.
Additionally, Mason Kirkland, LASM’s paleontologist and LSU Museum of Natural Science’s Collection Manager, will be on-site at LASM to engage with visitors.
We will have related hands-on activities with friends from the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society and the Baton Rouge Gem & Mineral Society.
