Baton Rouge Concert Band – Fall Performance

The Baton Rouge Concert Band returns to the Main Library at Goodwood Plaza on Sunday, September 25 at 5 pm to perform their fall concert, “A Few of Our Favorite Things.” From classical to pop music; from concert band music to jazz; from show tunes to soundtracks, join us for an evening of light-hearted music as BRCB shares a few of their favorite pieces of music. Bring your lawn chairs!

Sept. 24: Plein Air Sketching
Create a landscape sketch of Zachary’s Community Park’s beautiful green spaces.
Oct. 15: Paint like a French Impressionist
Using acrylic on canvas, participants will paint an impressionistic piece of Zachary Community Park’s green spaces.
Nov. 5: Water, Water, Everywhere
Families will create a mixed media collage using the Zachary Community Park ponds as an inspiration.

BREC is joining forces with Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center to provide the community with resources that promote health and wellness. This is an event the entire family will enjoy. Activities will include free health screenings, BBQ contest, music, kid’s activities, basketball tournament, fishing and more!
