Live After Five

Spring festival season is HERE, and it’s about time to work Live After 5 into the rotation! Mark your calendars, gather your krewe, and get ready for a rockin’ time! 🎉 Join us for live music, delicious food and drinks, local art vendors, kids activities, and a whole lot of dancing in the heart of Baton Rouge.

 

Saturday Red Stick Farmers Market
Saturday, April 15th,  8 AM – 12 PM
Main Street Market

Live Music and Sprouts for kids! The Saturday market (4/15) celebrates pollinators! Bring the kids to the Sprouts table to learn about pollinators’ importance, plus live music from Mel Chavis!
Free parking is available at all locations of the Red Stick Farmers Market. All farmers and vendors accept cash and Market tokens. If you would like to use a credit, debit or Louisiana Purchase (SNAP) card, they can swipe them at the Market Information Booth in exchange for Market Tokens.

 

Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival
April 14, 15, & 16

Since 1972, the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival has attracted visitors from near and far to celebrate our local strawberry farmers, non-profits, and our special community, flourishing into the largest free harvest festival in the state of Louisiana. Join us for three days filled with time-honored traditions, amazing food and drinks, live music, rides, and loads of family fun!

 

Party For The Planet
Saturday, April 15th 9:30am – 5pm (Grounds Close at 6pm)
Baton Rouge Zoo

Party for the Planet will be a day of celebrating Earth’s great creatures! Louisiana Clean Fuels will be out with several electric cars and bikes for perusing, and they will have a variety of animal enrichments happening at the zoo; the AAZK crew will be set up selling eco-friendly goodies to raise funds for the animals, and they will have an earth focused scavenger hunt for guests to participate in around the zoo!

Regular Zoo admission applies. Free for members.
