Following several days of being stuck in the house due to winter weather, BREC invites the public to get out and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine during the grand opening celebration of the new pavilion and park grounds at Highland Road Community Park, 14024 Highland Rd., on Sat. Feb. 1 from 2-5 p.m. Members of the community are invited to join Superintendent Carolyn McKnight, Councilman Chandler Loupe, and BREC Commissioners as they cut the ribbon on the newest additions to the 144-acre park and kick off a day of family fun and activities.
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, guests will be in for a treat. Hit band Blueprint will take the stage and perform while park patrons will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities.
Highland Road Community Park Activities include:
- Zip lining across the park
- Riding mountain bikes
- Playing disc golf
