As the first day of school quickly approaches for families in the Baton Rouge area, the start of the school year can bring stress and challenges. For one in five children living in poverty, parents often face tough choices, such as deciding between purchasing school supplies or putting food on the table. Regardless of whether students are attending classes online or in person, having the necessary school supplies is essential for helping them feel prepared and ready to succeed. To assist parents in getting their children ready for the upcoming school year, we’ve compiled a list of back-to-school events.
