One of my favorite places to shop is Target. Shopping at Target usually ends up turning into a mini mom sabbatical. I get to shop for everything under the moon and get inspired with ideas while filling up on Starbucks. I’m not sure how it happens but I usually get sucked into the Target vortex and end up spending way too much time and money. Let’s face it, Target is a one-stop-shop! I buy my workout clothes, health and beauty products, kids clothes, stationary, gardening supplies, candles, pup supplies, fresh food and even our medications.
I recently switched our prescriptions over to Target in an effort to literally make it my one stop for everything. I can drop off our prescriptions and shop instead of waiting, no checking in at the pharmacy to see if our prescription is ready, Target will send a text when it’s time to pick up.
Target Pharmacy is committed to the healthcare of the communities they serve and their commitment extends in a few ways. Target offers a wide range of generics to help treat a variety of conditions and diseases. Generics are just as effective as their brand-name equivalents, but are available at a much lower cost—just $4 for a 30-day supply, or $10 for 90 days. Target also offers Prescription Savings Program, a savings solution to those who are under-insured or uninsured for prescription medications. Target Pharmacy also offers a rewards program, there are no points to count or track and after only 5 prescription fills (including vaccinations) you receive 5% off a whole day of shopping (in-store and online.)
My favorite aspect of the Target pharmacy is their ClearRx prescription bottles. ClearRxhttp://soch.us/U4SX-2mEaT uses a colored ring around the neck of the bottle to allow each family member their own color ring, a tired moms dream come true! The ClearRx bottle has an easy-to-read label and a permanent sleeve affixed to it that stores the medication information, that paper that usually gets lost or tossed. From the handy label magnifier to the blunder-proof bottle, ClearRx makes medications a snap.
Of course our kids like the Target pharmacy for the flavors. You can make almost any prescription or over-the-counter liquid medicine taste better with up to 19 tasty flavors, there are other resources like this website. Target pharmacy flavorings are not only free of charge, they are sugar free, gluten free, dye free, casein free and non-allergenic. They have been scientifically tested for possible drug interactions, and are safe to use with almost all liquid over-the-counter and prescription medications.
So your Target shopping trip just got a little easier, if you haven’t been using your local Target pharmacy, give it a try the next time you’re there or transfer online or on your mobile device. As with your entire Target experience, it’s the first step to experiencing a refreshing approach to pharmacy!

What qualities are important to you in a pharmacy? What would you most look forward to with transferring to the Target Pharmacy or what do you already enjoy?
I call ahead and get my refills ready for when I arrive if I only need a few things. It never takes more than ten minutes.. and I get 2-3 5% off shopping passes a month (they often do double points on refills in certain months) and stack that with 5% off with my red card and then cartwheel and coupons! I get such amazing deals.
Sara, that’s awesome!! Great info on the stacking, thanks for sharing!
I love Target Pharmacy. My favorite thing is the Pharmacist. He remembers me and greets me by name when I walk up to have something filled. Guves me the old small town pharmacy feeling in today’s crazy reality!
Most important is that my prescriptions are in stock. Walgreens never has my prenatal vitamin and I have to wait 3-5 days for it to come in. Since I have 8 week old twins, remembering to refill my rx isn’t always at the top if my list. I will definitely try to switch to target for the 5% shopping passes!
I look for quality customer service and knowledge. I think switching to target will be more convenient for me. they are so close and the perks are the best
TFS..Since moving here I’m not satisfied with my family experience with Walmart or Walgreens.
I look for discounts, customer service and having the meds in stock.
I’ve switched pharmacies a couple times in the past and what’s ultimately won out for me is location, supporting a business in my neighborhood, and being able to shop for all of our other household items like TP, deodorant, allergy meds, shampoo, etc. in the same place. I love the one-stop shop! My pharmacy also does automatic refills which is awesome for this busy mom! Unfortunately, Target is a little too far from us to go there with any regularity, but I love shopping there when I do. I much prefer going there over Walmart.
I look for rewards and discounts
Knowledgeable and professional service, and also good customer service, convenience, prices.
For me the quality of service and the quality of the product that I receive are always most important.
i dont like to wait a long time
I like the rewards program that Target has and I look for a place that is convenient and that I can trust.
I expect prompt and courteous service always.
Knowledgeable staff, convenient hours, and a drive thru are important to me in a pharmacy.
I would love shopping during my wait and a 5% discount
I love fast service and helpful people at a pharmacy. I look forward to the rewards program at Target!
Service and convenience are most important to me, I look forward to the better service and shopping rewards from Target pharmacy.
I like when I don’t have to wait a long time for my prescription.
I would enjoy shopping while I wait. I already spend a lot of time in Target anyway!
convenience is important to me. I like the rewards program at target.
Definitely great customer service and availability of my prescriptions and I’m looking forward to the $4.00 generics
A pharmacy with good service is important to me. I look forward to the rewards program they have.
I love Target Pharmacy!! The staff is so nice and many remember my name. The pharmacists are willing to give advice and help. I have drive past many other pharmacies to go to Target Pharmacy for their great service! So glad they are getting the recognition they deserve.
I look forward to the rewards program; i look for good, reliable information for pharmacists at any pharmacy.
I look for rewards and discounts and Target has both. They have great deals on generics and the reward to get back 5% off my purchases for filling 5 prescriptions is awesome.
I would enjoy the rewards/discounts by switching to Target, and the convenience since I already shop there so often anyways. I look for good prices, qualified and helpful pharmacists that are willing to answer my questions.

I like good quality service. I like targets rewards program.
Reliability and timeliness are most important to me in a pharmacy and I look forward to the Target rewards so I can save 5% off a future order.
customer service and discounts (loyalty)
I really like their Rewards program – it’s nice to get a 5% off coupon every once in a while and I’m always at Target anyway so it’s super convenient to pick up my Rx there as well.
I really enjoy the rewards program. I save up the extra 5% and add the 5% from my Red Card to buy something special-JUST FOR ME!
I look for a pharmacy that is in close proximity to my home and that is trust worthy.
I think it’s so important that they have things in stock or can get them quickly, that they are nearby with flexible hours and that they offer some sort of rewards program. I currently use Target pharmacy even though there are several others closer to my house for the above reasons.
I think that it is important that the pharmacy have a good selection and be close to my home for days when someone is sick and we need to pick up a prescription.
Privacy, quick turnaround time, inexpensive generics are important. I like that they text you when prescription is ready.
The quality that is most important to me in a pharmacy is customer service. I think friendliness is very important.
Convenient hours, knowledgeable staff who also keeps their customer informed of delays for whatever reason, quick & prompt turnaround time and good supply of commonly used medications.
I LOVE Target Pharmacy! We recently moved here from another state & going to Target is like bringing a friend with us. I became a Target Pharmacy customer at our previous town’s Target when it first opened about 10 years ago. The day we brought our second child home from the hospital (7 years ago,) we stopped at Target Pharmacy on the way home! They have always been so good about remembering us by name, calling to check on my children when they have been sick and now very welcoming in our new city! I love the extra 5% savings I receive about once a month for filling prescriptions with them and the ease of color-coded prescription bottles for each family member. I tell everyone about Target Pharmacy, I am a FAN!
The pharmacist and the techs at the Siegen target are so nice and really go out of their way to help. Love getting the rewards too!
I’ve been a couple of times, but would love a drive thru. Ha. I love target, who doesn’t.
I like places where I don’t have to wait forever. And I want a pharmacist who is polite and knowledgeable. I would transfer to Target if there was one near me (there isn’t right now) and if my insurance was covered there.
Fast service and good customer service
We love Target pharmacy! Our meds are always in stock, never a long wait, and the pharmacists know us. The unique color coded bottles make things so much easier.
discounts are always a biggie for me.
Love the pharmacy rewards! The text alerts are also great!
Having prescriptions ready when they say they will be ready. Having insurance/copay information correct.
I use target pharmacy a lot. I like that the pharmacist remembers me and is always helpful with any questions
It’s always a pleasant experience at Target. I shop while my prescriptions are being filled. They have always been honest about exactly how long it will take.
I look for the wait time of Rxs being filled.
I look for rewards and discounts.
convenience is a big factor.
I look for a pharmacy that has good hours and friendly customer service.
Friendly workers & convenient hours of operation are important to me when it comes to a pharmacy. I would enjoy going to Target so I can browse the Dollar section hehe
I look for a points/rewards program and the lowest prices
Quick service is very important to me….I hate waiting in long lines for a prescription.
I look for a pharmacy that is clean, cares about it’s customers and is located close to me.
the rewards programs thanks
fast and good quality of service
One of the biggest qualities to me is how attentive they are to me. If they’re rude, short with me, or unknowledgeable I have a hard time trusting them to properly fill my medicine.
I call ahead and get my refills ready for when I arrive
