Place peeps in a large microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave for 30 seconds allowing peeps to fluff up.

Pour in oil and cornstarch.

Stir until you have a thick slime.

Ingredients
  1. Rice Krispie® Treats (either homemade or store-bought)
  2. Royal icing
  3. Food coloring
  4. Additional squeezable icings (optional)
  5. Piping bag or squeeze bottle and different shaped decorating tips
  6. Egg shaped cookie cutter or grease little hands to form their own mini Easter eggs.
Instructions
  1. Cut Rice Krispie Treats into egg shapes with cookie cutter. If using store-bought treats, you may have to place two treats side-by-side depending on the size of your cookie cutter. Or, let little hands have some fun and grease hands with butter and let them shape their own mini Easter eggs.
  2. Place a piece of parchment paper or wax paper over treats and gently and evenly press down to flatten top. Do not flatten completely. You are just trying to create a more even surface.
  3. Prepare royal icing. {recipe below} Separate into bowls and tint colors based on your preference.
  4. Using white royal icing in a piping bag, cover top of Easter Egg Rice Krispie Treat completely. Leave about a 1/4" edge around the outside. Use a toothpick to gently push the icing all the way to the edge. Placing the icing all they way to the edge from the bag may cause drips.
  5. Next, use different shades of royal icing (and different tips) to get creative with your Easter egg designs.
  6. Let dry overnight and store in an airtight container.

Ingredients
  1. 3 cups Dixie Crystals Confectioners Powdered Sugar
  2. 2 large egg whites
  3. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  4. I also added 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. In large bowl of stand mixer combine the egg whites, lemon and vanilla and beat until frothy. Add Dixie Crystals confectioners' sugar gradually and mix on low speed until sugar is incorporated and mixture is shiny. Turn speed up to high and beat until mixture forms stiff, glossy peaks. This should take approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Add food coloring, if desired. For immediate use, transfer icing to pastry bag or heavy duty storage bag and pipe as desired. If using storage bag, clip corner. Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
