You might remember us singing the praises of Piano Pathways Summer Camp last summer. This wonderful camp is back again with spots still available! Located at 9270 Siegen Lane, #304 behind the Calandros Grocery strip on the corner of Perkins and Siegen, centrally located and easy to find!
Cultivating an appreciation of music in our children is so important. Playing a musical instrument can enhance and develop math skills, language, coordination, social skills and improvements in spatial-temporal reasoning. Music is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children and summer is the perfect time of year to nurture a love of music and provide kids with a fun and educational musical experience with Piano Pathways Summer Camp.
New this year is our “repeat camp” the week of July 20-24, ages 6-10. This is for children who have taken another week of camp and want to “repeat” piano camp again because it was so much fun and they want to play more– OR for students who aren’t necessarily beginners or too far along to go in our beginners’ camps, but still want that fun, positive camp experience to learn more about playing the piano. These camps are Monday-Friday, 9-12 each day, tuition is $185 which includes materials and morning snack.
Piano Lessons:
Piano Pathways is owned by Rebecca C. Bellelo, Ph.D. The studio was created with the idea that every person is musical, and music is for every person. Piano Pathways offers a variety of classes and programs for students of all ages {yes, adults too} and skill levels – private lessons, group classes, and recreational music making classes.
Piano Pathways Summer Camp:
Piano Pathways offers camps for students of all ages and interests: every student will have a fun, first experience at the piano with piano camps for beginner kids & teens! Piano Pathways‘ week-long piano camps were created to expose kids to playing the piano in a positive, group-class environment. If your child has ever asked about piano lessons or shows interest in creating music at home, these camps are the perfect way to introduce children & teens to the piano. Children are guaranteed to have fun and learn to play the piano with this successful, first approach!
The camps are grouped by children ages: 6-7, 7-10 and 11 and above. Piano camps are held in Piano Pathways piano lab, where every child is at his or her own instrument.
Get ready to rock at piano! These week-long piano camps are motivating in a fun, interactive camp setting. As the original studio who first brought Baton Rouge piano camps for beginners, these camps are perfect for children and teens with little or no experience. Students will learn music reading, and also solo- and ensemble- playing skills. A variety of musical styles are explored, along with lots of ensemble playing to build musicianship and listening skills. Piano Pathways‘ goal for these beginners camps are for students to have a positive and enriching first experience at the piano. Beginners’ camps meet from 9:00-12:00 each week, Monday-Friday.
In the week-long camps for current students, song-writing camp and piano rock-band camp are sure to make your child love playing the piano! Piano Pathways‘ song-writing camp will be an exciting week as students explore composing- in a style that each student chooses. In rock-band camp, students will rock to the top hits of pop artists. Students will build skills in reading rhythms and chord charts– using familiar music that students know and love! These camps are meant to be a fun ensemble experience that boosts confidence and inspires your child’s love of piano.
Each camp and group class has a maximum of 6 students, and enrollment is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact the studio today to register and reserve your place in one of these exciting summer camps!
