Painting Party with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge Moms is taking part in another Painting Party with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge! Our last paint party was a Mardi Gras themed party and the kids had a great time creating. The children not only received thorough instructions and tips from the instructor, she encouraged them to think outside the box and get creative with their masterpieces.

Children (ages 5 and up) will create a Spring inspired  project to take home and canvases with Spring / Earth Day themes to be displayed at Alexander’s through May 21st and then sold to the public for $10 a canvas.  A snack / treat will be provided for the children after the art class.  All proceeds donated to the Arts Council’s scholarship fund.

Baton Rouge Moms  strives to support Baton Rouge moms through resources and community, and to bring moms together for community outreach programs throughout the year. This spring art event is the perfect opportunity to get kids involved to give back to the community they call home.

It’s never too early to start teaching your kids the value of community service. Getting involved in volunteering at a young age can set a life-long pattern of advancing the common good. There are many great opportunities for community service for kids that will expand their social circle, teach them empathy and compassion, and increase their chances of success in life. – Jason Bethke
