Mardi Gras Children’s Painting Event to Benefit CSA

Join Baton Rouge Moms for a morning of painting fun with an art instructor from the The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge!  Alexander’s Highland Market and Baton Rouge Moms have partnered with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge to host a morning of “Mardi Gras” painting fun, designed to enrich and supplement children’s arts education and to raise money for the council’s Community Fund for the Arts.

Space is very limited, be sure to register and save your spot as soon as possible if you plan to attend!

Community School for the Arts - Baton RougeChildren (ages 5 and up) will paint Mardi Gras masks to take home and canvases with Mardi Gras themes to be displayed at Alexander’s through March 4th and then sold to the public for $10 a canvas starting March 5th. All proceeds donated to the Arts Council’s scholarship fund.

Baton Rouge Moms  strives to not only support Baton Rouge moms through resources and community, but to also bring moms together for community outreach programs throughout the year. This Mardi Gras art event is the perfect opportunity to get kids involved to give back to the community they call home.

It’s never too early to start teaching your kids the value of community service. Getting involved in volunteering at a young age can set a life-long pattern of advancing the common good. There are many great opportunities for community service for kids that will expand their social circle, teach them empathy and compassion, and increase their chances of success in life. – Jason Bethke
