ALLA, also known as the “Krewe for ALL,” is a family-friendly Mardi Gras parade rolling on Sunday, February 24, on the traditional New Orleans parade route of Saint Charles Avenue and Canal Street. The parade theme for 2019 is “Are We There Yet?” with floats representing travel destinations around the world. The Krewe of ALLA, founded in 1932, and celebrating its eighty-seventh year in 2019, is the fifth-oldest parading organization in New Orleans Carnival. The Krewe of ALLA welcomes women and men of all backgrounds to parade with the Krewe.

Signature ALLA throws are hand-made genie lamps created by ALLA members; these throws also represent the theme of the 2019 parade.
Randall J. Lackey of New Orleans will reign as King ALLA LXXXVII for 2019 and Shannon Land Martz of Baton Rouge will be Queen, the Krewe of ALLA announced today. The presentation of the Court and celebration event leading to the Parade will culminate at the ALLA Bash, the Krewe’s official Mardi Gras Ball, to be held on February 9. The Krewe of ALLA will parade with Mr. Lackey as King and Mrs. Martz as Queen on Sunday, February 24, on the traditional New Orleans parade route of Saint Charles Avenue and Canal Street.
The ALLA Bash, the Krewe’s official Mardi Gras Ball, will be held Saturday, February 9. The ALLA Bash is open to all, including potential riders for the parade. The ALLA Bash will be held at The Cannery, located at 3803 Toulouse Street in New Orleans. Tickets are $115 per person and includes the Tableau and presentation of the 2019 Court, dinner and open bar, music by 5 Finger Discount and dancing. There will be a second line and a parasol decorating contest with a prize going to the winner of the best decorated parasol. The Queen has requested that attendees to the ALLA Bash bring a donation of adult or baby diapers to be presented to the Krewe on behalf of Easter Seals Louisiana.
The Krewe of ALLA is also supporting Covenant House with special doubloons with proceeds going directly to support the charity. Covenant House provides a safe haven for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth. Additionally, representatives of Covenant House will ride as grand marshals at the front of the Krewe of ALLA parade on February 24.
If you’re planning on attending a family-friendly mardi gras parade in NOLA, Krewe of ALLA is a must!
